DetailsThis Fabulous Mayer China Platter with the Historical Groton Inn Crest is such a great conversation piece- and is in wonderful condition! The Groton Inn, located in Groton Massachusetts, is one of America's oldest inns dating back to the 1700's. It initially was a tavern and later transformed into an inn. It survived the Revolutionary War and was a hub for political discussions. It is still in operation today (....the restaurant menu looks fabulous)! It measures 13.75" x 9.75" with no cracks, chips, or hairlines. It is marked "Mitchell Woodbury Co., Mayer China, Boston" on the base.
