This Antique US Glass Company Cheese Preserver is not only VERY COOL, it also could be a life saver in the kitchen during holiday meal prep with your extended family (Griswold's eat your heart out....)- for example...ahem....Grampa tries to segue into a conversation about illegal immigration....you could simply put that fire out by asking "Hey Gramps- have you ever seen one of these Antique US Glass Company Cheese Preservers?" But seriously...This Antique US Glass Company Cheese Preserver is in wonderful condition and would be great to have on hand in the kitchen during the holidays. These containers were popular in the 1930s and 1940s, especially when people bought chunks of cheese from general stores before widespread home refrigeration. It was designed to keep cheese fresh by placing a mixture of vinegar, salt, and water in the bottom.
Made out of heavy glass with a raised bottom- it measures 7.5" in diameter x 6.5" in height including the lid. There are no cracks or chips. This cheese preserver would be perfect to use in the fridge as well. Please message us if you have any questions- Thanks for looking!
