DetailsThis 19th c. Egg Crate in Old Red Paint is in such amazing condition for its age. Dating from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s- it retains its bail handle, its stenciling on the interior and 1 side, its original barn red paint, and original hinges and clasp….there is even a partial “Grit” newspaper that was placed in the bottom of the box in 1963 (great articles!)!! It has honest wear from farm usage- natural wear around the corners, the latch area, and the top lid from decades of hands lifting it. The old red paint is amazing- perfect to display with your other primitive antiques. The crate measures 11.75” wide x 8.5” tall x 9.5” deep; it does not have it’s interior egg holders. Please message us if you have any questions-Thanks for looking!
